Operations Manager

About This Role

The role of the Operations Manager is to oversee operational activities at every level of the company, working closely with team members of each department to ensure the company is cross-functionally aligned. Duties include formulating strategy, improving employee performance, instilling process improvements to ensure the team is set up for success to achieve their key metrics, and securing compliance for our company. You should be ready to mentor team members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service, and implement best practices cross-functionally to help us remain compliant, efficient, and profitable during the course of business. This person will always be looking for ways to engage employees and make the workplace more effective and efficient.

Role Responsibilities

  • Formulate strategic operational OKRs that align with the company’s overall business goals
  • Ensure all company operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
  • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability and overall well-being of company operations
  • Oversee internal and outsourced accounting/finance, marketing/communications, human resources, and compliance/legal functions
  • Manage budgets and forecasts
  • Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs across teams company wide
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff
  • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service


  • 5+ years proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Demonstrated team management experience
  • Fintech/Tech startup business and financial operations management experience
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to “motivate the troops” and drive maximum results
  • Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field is preferred
